Corpohass is the Corporation of Hass Avocado Producers and Exporters in Colombia. We promote the growth and competitiveness of our sector. We represent the actors that make up the value chain of our agribusiness in national and international scenarios.
When you become a member, you have exclusive access to a key network of contacts, relevant market and sector information, specialized training and business opportunities to strengthen your participation in our agribusiness and contribute to the opening of new markets.
These are the audiences we directly represent:
- Producers: from small farmers to large production companies.
- Exporters: companies dedicated to the commercialization and export of fruit.
- Processors: specialized in Hass avocado processed by-products.
And these are the ones we represent indirectly:
- Packers: process, pack and condition the fruit for commercialization.
- Suppliers of inputs and services: key to production and marketing.
- Other actors: they contribute to the sustainability, development and competitiveness of our sector, from the field to the final consumer.
You do not have to make any payment to formalize your membership. That is, there is no membership fee.
You make the contributions only for the Hass avocado that you export. Do not take into account the fruit for domestic consumption. These are really an investment that gives you exclusive access to all the services and benefits we offer, such as training, events, reports, technical advice and trade representation.

It is common to think this, perhaps because Antioquia is the department where most Hass avocado is grown. But, in reality, we have Affiliates in 9 of the 16 productive departments of the country, and close to 60 municipalities. We cover from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to Cauca. In addition, our affiliated exporters operate throughout the country. We work to benefit everyone, regardless of their geographic location.
The management of the producers’ contributions is carried out directly by the affiliated exporters, through the withholdings established in the commercial agreements and negotiations to purchase fruit. In this way, the process is faster and we prevent the producer from assuming an unnecessary administrative burden.
It has nothing to do with the amount of contributions you make or the length of time you have been with the Corporation. The financing of the projects we carry out depends mainly on public funds. The Corporation adds a counterpart, consolidated with the contributions of our Affiliates.
In conclusion, all Hass avocado growers, regardless of their size and/or location, can be beneficiaries of the projects managed by Corpohass with government resources.
We focus on managing key projects for the sector, such as certifications, implementation of good agricultural practices and international market access. To provide specific technical assistance or extension services, we collaborate with public entities through agreements and hire qualified personnel per project. This ensures that our Affiliates receive the technical support necessary to meet various requirements and high quality standards.
No, you don’t have to be a large producer to join Corpohass. Producers of different sizes and from different parts of the country give meaning to our sector. To represent it well, we must work hand in hand with all the actors that make up its value chain. Our Affiliates are very diverse and each one fulfills an essential role in the agribusiness.

Studies and projects that seek to improve the productivity, quality and sustainability of Hass avocado production.
Provide technical assistance and training:
We offer exclusive training and technical assistance programs for our Affiliates, which allow them to improve their agricultural practices and comply with international standards.
Promote the opening of new markets:
We develop the necessary actions to achieve the admissibility of our Hass Avocado in new markets, and the strengthening of its presence in existing ones.
Promotion of the Colombian origin:
We implement communication and marketing strategies to publicize our Hass avocado and position it as a benchmark of quality and sustainability, understood from its three dimensions: economic, social and environmental.
Protect our license to operate and defend the interests of the sector:
We actively participate in spaces for dialogue and decision making with government entities and key actors in the promotion of public policies that benefit our sector.
Maintain an efficient operational structure and a team of highly qualified professionals to provide our Affiliates with the best possible service, support, knowledge and accompaniment.
Manage resources with the Government and other allies to increase the benefits, projects and programs for our Affiliates.
Promote sustainability models along three lines: economic, social and environmental, through our strategy of sustainable production chains.
Yes, the Corporation is structuring our CeniHass and we hope that it will soon become a reality. We are currently working on the development of three lines of research that will form the basis of our future research center: plant material, soils, and production costs.
