Hass Connection: our Productivity Board

Published on June 26, 2023

Technical Board

Hass Connection is our new Technical Table of Productivity, a space of connection that allows us to build a work network, in which we complement and support each other to strengthen our guild.

In the first meeting of this Table, we were accompanied by the technical directors and managers of the main producers of our Hass.

Strategic challenges

During the workshop, a diagnosis of the sector and technical work was carried out to identify opportunities for improvement and propose a work plan based on 6 prioritized challenges:

  1. Improve fruit quality (harvest, postharvest and traceability).
  2. Knowledge generation network.
  3. Development and adaptation of genetic material for Colombian production conditions.
  4. Hass avocado research center.
  5. Local research (sectorized information).
  6. Genetics: varieties adapted to each zone and its conditions – Germplasm banks.

Hass Connection Delegated Commission

In order to start working on the prioritized challenges, we formed a Delegate Commission. This group leads the action plan with which we seek greater productivity.
